Night Stay: Jaldapara 2 Nights, Jayanti 1 Night

Day 1: NJP / Bagdogra → Jaldapara & South Khayerbari Visit

Arrive at NJP/Siliguri/Bagdogra and transfer to Jaldapara (approx 135 km / 3½–4 hrs). En route lunch. After check-in and freshen up, visit South Khayerbari Nature Park, an animal rescue centre where you can spot rescued leopards and Royal Bengal Tigers and enjoy boating. Return to resort and overnight stay at Jaldapara.

Tip: Jaldapara became a National Park in 2012, famous for one-horned rhino, elephants, leopards, wild boars, sambhar, and chital, spread over 216.51 sq. km.

Day 2: Jaldapara Jungle Safari – Phuentsholing – Chilapata Forest

Early morning Jungle Safari in Jaldapara to spot rhino, elephants, deer, and exotic birds (closed 15 June–15 Sept). After breakfast, drive to Phuentsholing (30 km) to visit Amo Chhu Crocodile Centre and Karbandi Monastery. Post lunch, proceed to Chilapata Forest (2 hrs) – a wildlife-rich corridor between Buxa Tiger Reserve and Jaldapara. Return to Jaldapara for overnight stay.
Tip: Chilapata hosts 23 species of mammals, 180 birds, 22 reptiles, and many butterflies.

Day 3: Buxa – Jayanti Sightseeing

After breakfast, head to Buxa Tiger Reserve (1½ hrs). Visit Buxa Fort, Rajabhatkhawa Watchtower, Pokhri Hill, and TGN Tower – perfect for spotting bison, deer, rhino, and butterflies. Later, proceed to Jayanti, often called the “Queen of Dooars,” nestled beside the picturesque Jayanti River. Spend a peaceful evening enjoying the serene riverbank and forest ambiance. Overnight stay at Jayanti.
Tip: Buxa Fort, at 2600 ft on the Sinchula Range, is one of the oldest forts in Eastern India and was once used by the British to detain Indian freedom fighters.

Day 4: Jaldapara → NJP / Bagdogra Drop

After breakfast, check out and transfer to NJP/Siliguri/Bagdogra. En route refreshments if time permits. Tour ends with unforgettable memories of the Dooars wilderness.
